Does God exist?

The existence of God is one of the most controversial topics of all time. It has been much discussed, by bright and intelligent men on both sides. However, only those whose eyes God opens and whose hearts are transformed by Him will realise the Truth. The Truth is that God exists, and that in Him alone is there salvation. Obviously, unbelievers will deny this, but as a madman cannot blot out the sun by writing "darkness" on the walls of his cell, no more can the atheists remove God from existence. For in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).
Till next time.

  2. What then of the tea pot atheist?

The one who doesn't deny any god, but sees the lack of evidence for his existence as similar to the lack of evidence for a celestial tea pot in orbit around Mars.

He doesn't blot out the sun, he simply asserts the fact that at no time has he ever seen any (tangible) evidence that should indicate the existence of any god, let alone the judeo-christian one.

  3. Yes, the tea pot atheist is a sorry creature. Obviously, some flying tea pot orbiting Mars is hardly comparable to the God of Scripture. I must disappoint him, however, for I can't produce much more empirical evidence other than creation itself. If empirical, tangible evidence is the only evidence he accepts, he has surely dug himself down into a self-refuting hole. If he'd accept other types of evidence (viz. the impossibility of the contrary), he would undoubtedly convert. Alas, the effects of sin are great. Only the Spirit can turn him from his ways.
Let's pose him a question: How can science grant knowledge unless one has justification for induction?

  4. I'm just here to ruin this happy conversation. You say one cannot blot out the sun by writing darkness on the wall - therefore we cannot create darkness. Does that mean that we can create God by writing it in a book?

Please add some posts as well, you're gifted.

    No.

  6. Proves my point - the only 'proof' that God exists lies within the Bible and the hearts of the Christian people.

    (And thank you!)
